Great addition to the main story. What I loved especially were the characters, each of them with their flaws but still so very lovely! Would even love to see more of Amber, Marina and Tess!

Having trouble getting this to work with the version of the game I purchased from Jast USA recently (I'm on mac and the file is chilling in my autorun folder). Can I get some help troubleshooting? Looking forward to playing :)
I also purchased the base game through JAST USA and I am also having issues getting the DLC to work. I am either getting error messages or the DLC is just not showing up. I tried installing Next Exit through the itch.io website and the launcher, but no luck. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Am I just placing the DLC files into the wrong folder (I thought it would be under the "game" folder)? Do I also need to send an email to that same address?

Do you get an error message of some sort, or does it simply not show up when you start the game? It would be under the Extras menu on the title screen.
Make sure you have the most recent version of the base game installed too; if you installed it a long time ago, please try reinstalling it.

Unfortunately, the adult patch didn't work with the DLC, not that the DLC really needed it. It worked fine with the base game, but didn't get any adult scenes in the DLC.
Umm... I have both the original game and the DLC on GOG (version 2.5.4). Do I need this patch for the GOG version, and if so - Where can I download it?
Great base game, I purchased it from the Equality Bundle, and loved it so much! Definitely saving up for the DLC in the upcoming future! Thank you for the phenomenal experience, as it was my first time diving into VN as well.
Hi there! I apologize if my previous comment sounded a bit rude. I just pointed out those two problems because I wanted to help to improve this game. Those are just two minor things and guess what? I've just finished the DLC and those were the only issues I found.
I really loved the story and it made me realize that I like romance stories, I enjoyed it very much.

By the way, regarding the issue with the voice volume, I have to confess that I actually fixed it myself. I downloaded a certain tool, extracted the voice tracks, and then used an Audacity macro to increase the volume of those tracks by +9db (with the Amplify effect). Finally I repackaged it and enjoyed a good voice volume for the rest of the story. So if you are planning on fixing that, a simple Audacity macro is all it takes.
Hi there! I want to point out a couple of problems I found.
Right after installing the DLC and starting it, apparently all CGs have been automatically unlocked in the galleries. It has 4 pages and I think with the base game alone it was just 2. It's not a big deal, but it may be a bit spoiler.
Maybe it's just me, but I think the voice volume of the DLC is a bit too low, at least compared to the base game. I've checked the game settings and verified that the volume of all characters was at 100%. Again, it's not a big deal, but it would be nice if you could increase the base volume. If someone finds it too loud they can always lower it from the settings.
Hi there! Quick question. Is Amber's route near the beginning of the DLC something that needs to be unlocked by reading further or there are sections not available from her perspective? I chose Amber and then some time later it switched to Marina's perspective automatically.
I actually chose Marina first, and then after completing the scene (or getting near it) I started the DLC again and chose Amber.
The POV swaps are only for certain scenes, not the entire game. Some scenes (like the first scene) let you choose which POV to read from, others have POV swaps by default.
Sorry to bother you again, but it's now a month ago that I got the message that the GOG version would be updated to accommodate for the expansion. However - I checked today but is the stillsame old version 1.0, so I cannot buy the Next Exit expansion because it won't work with this version.
I don't want to sound impatient, but I think that asking about it after a month of patiently waiting it is not too soon. So - how much longer do I have to wait? Any indication?
Hi, the game version on GOG was updated several weeks ago. Have you tried redownloading it? As for the DLC itself, we're still waiting for it to be uploaded to GOG, it's not something that we control ourselves.
I am sorry to say that there is still no new stand-alone installer on GOG. It is still version 1.0. I have contacted consumer support on GOG, and they said they will contact you about the situation. I really don't want to complain here, but I am starting to loose hope I will ever play this DLC. I am not sure who is responsible for this situation any longer, but it seems it's getting nowhere.
I really hope this will be resolved at some time, but I guess it won't be soon.

By the way, the game was sensational. It was my first venture into visual novels and oh boy was I impressed. The characters are so well written, the music is excellent and the emotional journey I went through along with the characters is up there with how I felt playing my favourite single player games. Very well done!

When you purchase the DLC, there'll be a step-by-step install instructions to put it into the original game folder. Once you do, if you hit play you should be able to access the DLC from the extras menu!
You will need to redownload the base game to play the DLC, too.

So, the second time that the "select your perspective" option pops up (the time in the kitchen, if I'm wrong about that being the second time), when I select Amber's side, an error message pops up. Clicking ignore lets me continue just fine, and it doesn't happen when I select Marina's perspective, so it's not really much of a problem, but it still happens. Is anyone else having this? If not, I can trawl through the code that pops up to see where something's going wrong on my end - and, as I said, you can click "Ignore" at the bottom and continue on if it does happen to you.

I own the game on Steam and have like 40 hours in it, loved the voice acting update and thought that was all we would ever get out of these characters. So happy I was wrong. I will buy it first on Steam since that's where I play the game, but since I got it here in the recent charity bundle as well I may double dip for a DRM free version as well in the future. Always happy to support the great work you guys do on your VNs, I can't wait!

It's compatible, yes. Please make sure you're using both the newest version of the base game as well as the newest version of the adult patch

If you're referring to the adult patch, it's optional, and can be found and downloaded for free on Denpasoft (will work on other versions too).

Edit: As of version 2.54, this issue has been fixed.
I pasted the dlc file into the game file but when i try to open the game now it fails and shows me a bunch of code
You may have to update your base Highway Blossoms game. We added a lot of UI improvements and new screens that are necessary to play Next Exit.
