This is such a beautiful game designed game but there's just too much especially at the end since we're kinda waiting for the conclusion but it just fall into limbo.
It's so hard to sympathize or even understand the main character's motivation, it just feel kinda silly like we're supposed to empathize with her and the girl when the fae are still in the story being genocided. I would almost get it, if it was framed as evil and sadistic, like in "I don't love her but I love her".But the story ends on an almost happy ending or on the possibility of one. Some of the things she does feel more like the vn "crimson desire" which is more ironic and insanely over the top, basically lesbian "ME!ME!ME!". It doesn't fully analyse the dynamics in the story.
Overall I liked it alot the music, art and writing were really good.
Brutal ending.
I keep getting too scared to continue . . . . . . . . . (I still do though)
Wahhhhhhh I finished too soon T^T
This game was absolutely beautiful. The suspense, the shades of grey, everything was fantastic! Although this game played with my head a bit, I eventually understood the lore, and it was absolutely breathtaking! I hope we can get a part 2 of the story. You can't let this story end like that so tragically and play with every gamer's heart like that!
Anyways, the game was wonderful, and I hope there is a second game, and that the release of it will be soon. ^3^
This UI is so unique and elegant! I only just started but the track that plays in the beginning is such a cool blend of hypnotizing yet haunting. Excited to see where this goes!
wooww <3 I adored the layout.. really gives it a fairytale-type feeling.. I cried three times, it is a very beautiful story <3
Man what a good game! Sad but beautiful!
Wow, truly impressive. I was engrossed in the story right from the start, and the way that the UI, graphics, prose, and even the type face unify to create the dark fairy tale setting is immaculate. This entry in the Dandelion Set stands as quite the stark contrast to all the others, and it is no less potent for it.
The ending of the game suggests we may see more of it in the future. I very much hope that will indeed be the case.
I feel like this needs a response in poetry, but i do not have the time for that. I will be back to complete a fitting proposition.
Ooh I liked this a lot! The writing is lovely and lyrical, the pacing is nice and fast, and the characters feel very well-developed despite the story being on the shorter side. It was a gripping and evocative story from start to finish, I love the vibes and the lovely lyricism it was written with. Thank you so much for making this!!!
I really like the UI too, the scrolling textbox which takes up half the screen works well for the longer prose and the more lush paragraphs. It was a really good design choice (also the speaking sprites that change with the speaker name; another geat idea).
I do wish the preferences and save/load menus had been customised since the stock Ren'py doesn't really match the general aesthetic of the game (+ there's a few instances where Ilse is described wearing clothes which are different from her default outfit, but her outfit doens't change), but since this was made in a short timeframe I don't mind it too much. It would be nice to see an updated version of this in the future with a bit more polish re: the visuals, but the writing is incredibly strong as-is and I really did like it a lot!
ow.. just ow. that ending hurts.
The story was incredible, the ending was so emotional...I loved this. The layout was really pretty and the black screen+text was such a good choice to add. I love dark romance so much!!!!
